Impressions of Spring Workshop (2)
28 September 2024 (3 hours)
“Wildflowers don’t grow in straight lines”
The September Workshops are inspired by the spectacular swathes of wild daisies that cover large areas of Namaqualand in Spring. Wild, wonderful and colourful are the qualities captured with bold wax-resist and splattering for texture and movement, and layers of washes for colour. This exercise was rather challenging for those who love well-behaved paintings!

Outside my little circle of oil paint comfort, Maria opened my senses to the world of water colours and a new freedom in painting.
