OCTOBER 2023 NEWSLETTER
Dear Friends
What an eventful month October has been: World Cup Rugby, Cricket World Cup, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and of course, Inktober auction for charity!
I'm also very busy creating new paintings for the Open Studio Weekend which will take place at my Studio-Gallery on the 4th and 5th of November. The watercolour “Bee Reprise” is one of my new paintings that will be on display and for sale. The full picture can be viewed in my on-line GALLERY.
Open Studio Weekend
I hope to see you, your family, and friends at my Open Studio next month! Pop into my studio to see my latest work, marvel at Steve Hall’s beautiful oil paintings, check out Tara’s funky denim bags, admire the paintings created at the workshops, bid on your favourite ink drawings, enjoy some refreshments, win prizes, chat, laugh, stay a while, buy some art/ cards/ bags, and just generally have a good time!
DATE: Saturday 4TH and Sunday 5TH November
TIME: 11am until 4pm
PLACE: My Studio-Gallery (address will be sent via WhatsApp to subscribers)
DRESS CODE: Anything goes!
Inktober
Our Inktober auction is almost at an end. So far, we’ve raised over R5000 for the H.O.P.E. Basket! Your generosity is astounding, and I thank the lively bidders and kind encouragers. Wonderful Birthday Wishes
I hope all the October babies are enjoying their birthday month! I dedicate Over the Rainbow / What a Wonderful World (as sung by the late gentle giant Israel Kamakawiwoʻole) to Brenda C, Paula, Marijke, Nigel, Michelle Hunter, Mercy and Karen. It's worth remembering we all have something wonderful to share with the world. Enjoy singing along.
